Always sad when an active member of SH passes over the bar.

Fair seas, Les.

Had dealings with Les when he was with FFGCLO - where has the time gone.

Fair winds Les.

Sad news with another loss. Again, I never met Les although at one time he was in the same class as me but a different trade.
I remember his comment that he "dipped back" twice, once through sickness and once through thickness but obviously did well in the end.
My condolences to his family.

Les was someone who I never met but, through his posts and "Joke of the day" on the Fisgard site, I felt I knew.
Sad to see such a quick departure.

PostPosted: Fri Jan 27, 2012 1:09 pm

Farewell Les, although we never met in person we talked on the phone a few times in 2003 when he moved from Sydney to Perth. Les and I attended the Royal Hospital School in Suffolk UK. I ran a school website to which Les contributed greatly. Les was a genealogist and was always willing to help people trace their family tree. He had been left some pics from Greenwich Hospital School which he shared with us. One in particular was of the boys playing cricket in the 1860's. If I can dig it out I will post it.
