Nice guy and thorough gentleman. Knew him from my postings to Nirimba over the years and being located at 259 Bldg. before the MEDB was built. From recollection he was pretty involved with the Castle Hill RSL for a time, and was a good mate of Arthur (Spider) Webbs.

Sad to hear he is no longer with us. Vale Col RIP.

Not sure if you're getting confused with 'Rotating' Ron Smith who taught, among other things, rotating machinery in the demountables next to 259. He was very involved with the Castle Hill RSL and not sure if he's still with us as he'd be 'getting on'. Nonetheless, a sad loss to his family, friends and the NIRIMBA community.
