Subject: Con Vervaart - July 1961 entry

G'day Davo and Bob

I received an email today from Judy Vervaart advising of the passing of Con.

Con was residing with his wife at Campania near Hobart and had been diagnosed with lymphoma. He succumbed to this illness on the 30 September.

As you are aware Con joined Nirimba in July 1961 but passed out with my lot (Jan '62 mob). I think his first ship was Parramatta, but I served with him briefly on Hobart in late '69 early '70.

I have advised members of my term who are re-unioning at present in Queensland. Can you please advise those on your respective contact lists of Con's passing.

Regards

Pete Lamb

:-k I remember him well, my commiserations to his wife Judy and extended family... VALE Con... rest on your oars, Matey, your journey's done... [-o<
