Dear All,

It is with much sadness that I forward advice on the passing of CERA Des Hinton R42370, Jan 60 Intake at HMAS NIRIMBA.

Des passed away mid afternoon today Sunday 10 April with family members at his side.

Funeral arrangements will be advised when known.

Sad to hear about Jol Collas and Des Hinton, both nice fellas, I remember Jol as being quite a laid back character and as for Des, he was a great athlete, a very good middle distance runner. We ran a fair bit together, I think at the E.S Marks Field, you'd probably remember that too, Pony, sad to hear of their passing.

Des left Nirimba just before I joined, but I "ran" into him as IS trials. Nice guy from what I remember again taken far too early. Vale Des.
