Just got back from Africa and heard about Col's passing. It is very sad, he was a great bloke and I had some great times with him.
Rest easy buddy.

Hi Shipmates,
Following a meeting yesterday with Colin's family and Funeral Director, I advise that his funeral service will be held at
1030 on Tuesday 30th April 2024 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 26 Swanston Street St Marys NSW.
The service will be followed by a private Cremation, and the Wake may be held at St Marys RSL Club. (to be confirmed).. There could be a large gathering of NSW Police as I understand there will be a motorcycle escort to the Church....
Regards

Now returned home to hear of Col's passing.
Farewell Col, taken much too soon. My sincere condolences to your family, colleagues and friends.

Just finished watching Col's funeral service. He certainly had a long and distinguished career serving his nation in three organisations dedicated to the protection of the country and the people, and was obviously loved and respected by many. A real people's person and he crammed what he could into life. The world is a poorer place with his passing. I enjoyed the service, but must admit I was disappointed with the emphasis on religion...it sounded almost like a church recruiting service with the remembrance and celebration of Col's life as an afterthought... RIP Col...
