It is with great sadness that I report the passing of my Cousin and mentor, Vernon Westgarth (Buck) Rogers, who passed away in Warnambool Hospital at 0300, 2nd April 2005.

Buck will be cremated at Ballarat and a short commemorative service will be held at Warnambool on Wed. 6th. April. No details as yet.

Buck served from the late 50s to the early 70s.

A True Gentleman.

I served with many Mechs but cannot recall serving with Buck. I'm sure he will be sadly missed as I hope we all are one day. Please accept my deepest condolences and I hope Buck has a good send-off. FME.

When Buck and Pat (his wife) had the occasional barney, Buck would sometimes say, "I'll go down and throw myself off the end of the break water, Then see how you get on"

So, in deference to his sense of humour, that's what Pat's going to do..... He would have liked that.
