Only if there is a quid in it for him! Cast your mind back to Anaconda Nickel, his first company. Anacondas are big snakes, not sure if they shed their skins or not, say no more!!

Probably a little off tack. Toots and I attended a dog obedience trial today and the judge commented on her HMAS Sydney T shirt and said that he had served on HMAS Vampire in the 60s.
When I went to take my dog in the ring he made a comment on my HMAS Nirimba polo shirt I was wearing (has the 1957 image of the signwriting on the former airfield fire tender with HMAS Nirimba, the FAA wings, RANAS and Schofields). He wondered why there was the FAA wings as Albatross was the RAN naval air station and Nirimba the apprentice training base - I offered the briefest history of Nirimba and the truck, then went into the ring and managed to fail yet another trial (my Goldie can be such a bitch - tic). He sat down for a quick break (hot day, older former sailor) and he said he was a Communicator on Vampire. I then offered the minor incident in 1972 of being the cause for the attendance of the fire brigade to Vampire when she was in the Graving Dock at Garden Island when the tile heater I had plugged into a Subbies cabin was cause for copious smoke and evacuation of part of the ship (wiring issue of the fitted powerpoint in the cabin). Certainly put the wind up the Shipwright tradesman I was working with, at the time.............

Checked, it is not April Fools Day:

"the ADF’s decision to order military dog handlers to undergo cultural awareness training.
It’s been revealed that special forces war dog handlers will be retrained to be more culturally sensitive when confronting enemy fighters".

Watching local tv news and subject of recruitment was raised , statement was made that defence are going to revolutionise recruiting by sending a bus around to country centres to attract new recruits , current wait times to enlist are to be reduced to under 12 months " apparently current time is 18 - 24 months " and educational requirements are to include an examination rather than accepting the possession of an HSC. No wonder we are stuffed.

See that former politician Joel Fitzgibbons son was killed in a parachute training accident at Richmond NSW. Sadly, the ultimate cost of training in the military.....
