Yep, last pondering topic has toppled and will soon be vapourised.

To start this one off, here's something to ponder that has serious concerns:

Both federal and state governments are moving legislation very quickly to introduce laws that ban the nazi symbol and salutes. We've seen on the news relatively small groups of black-clad, balaclava-wearing white men (mostly, but I've seen a couple of obviously female forms amongst them) marching and claiming Australia for the white man.

Now the intent is to come down harder on these groups to remove the masks, 'name and shame' them, and possibly more.

Now, I'm not for these clods but it seems they're relatively ineffectual in their aims & wants so it concerns me that such a huge response by governments and moreso the media has been implemented.

...when the islamic thugs, palestinian groups & indigenous activists can do exactly the same thing with impunity and physically threaten & attack - in public - any that oppose them, and the governments, police and media do absolutely nothing about it. :angry7: :angry4:

I believe it won't be long before significant fighting breaks out over all this.

"I believe it won't be long before significant fighting breaks out over all this".

I think it is being witnessed (in at least) the UK. One law for all, isn't it?

Probably because a lot of the media are travellers of the same ilk. :angry10: :angry10: :angry10:

Folks,
The following was put together from an old Navy colleague who I served with for a number of years.
Some of the ex-Navy people would remember Pete Archibald back in the 60’s and 70’s.
I commend this gem to you.

Cheers Greg (Stretch)

Australia :aust: Day Poem By Arch

The flag has been hoisted, it flutters on high
This always brings a tear to my eye
Some say our flag needs to be changed
I believe those people are totally deranged

Along with the date-change bullies
And the virtue signaling mob at Woolies
Some are on this earth to complain
Where we see sunshine, they see rain

I cleaned the Barbie, forks and tongs
And put on my trusty well sworn thongs
Rugger shorts and a singlet top
And plenty of sun screen Slip Slap Slop

I mowed a strip for the backyard cricket
And grabbed a wheelie bin for a wicket
I managed to get the kids on side
By rigging a temporary water slide

I dragged some chairs under the trees
The bureau is predicting forty degrees
The esky is loaded with champers and beer
Time for a coldie before the mob gets here

While waiting for the guests to show
Our Kiwi neighbour said “Greetings Bro “
“The mussus and kuds are on their way
We’ll help you celebrate Australia Day”

Time to play games to soak up the beer
Winning shots are greeted by jubilant cheers
The girls watched on; but disowned the boys
Who carried on like kids with new toys

The backyard cricket was declared a draw
After it descended into total uproar
Batsman Kiwi Bob lost his calm
When Gazza decided to bowl underarm

Openly gay, and very good looking
Tony has offered to do all the cooking
Asif and Mustafa from the Middle East
Have prepared an enormous exotic feast

Prawns, burgers lamb chops and snags
Under the weight of this fare the table sags
The Middle Eastern food was a new taste treat
But Kiwi Bob says a Hangi is hard to beat

Indigenous Dave is an interstate trucker
He surprised us with authentic bush tucker
While Vietnamese friends, bless their souls
Brought a big plate of rice paper rolls

After lunch and the booze had kicked in
It was time for the karaoke to begin
The National Anthem, in patriotic roar
Pity the poor bloody neighbours next door

The setting sun marks the end of a great day
The girls want to leave, the blokes want to stay
Its not hard to guess who’ll win that debate
Though nine o’clock is hardly late

I guess that the knockers will feel that they won
By refusing to embrace it and join in the fun
My message to them is loud and clear
Wake up and get onboard next year

HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY

P M Archibald 21.1.24. Feel free to share.

On the subject of electric vehicles (EVs):

Much has been said and promised and embossed and lambasted about EVs, and I've noted it all for years. From the pollutants used to build the things, to the pollutants generated by their manufacture and the promised green effect from not using fossil fules and all the other bumf.

In amongst all this I've always wondered about the loss of taxes to the government via low petrol & diesel sales and the staggering taxes gained from such, and how said governments would compensate their coffers.

Well, the Kiwis are well under way in sewing up that side of things with their intent to hit EV drivers with a NEW TAX for not using fossil fuel and their cheating ways of not helping to pay for maintaining the roads they will use!

:happy2: :happy2: :happy2: :happy2: :happy2: :happy2: :happy2: :happy2: :happy2: :happy2:

It seems that the new government over there is about to nail each EV with a yearly tax of around $1,000 for road maintenence!!!!

:haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha:

Now I wonder, when will our erstwhile Government by the sleazy start to move in this direction???? :laughing5: :laughing5: :laughing5: :laughing5: :laughing5:

Some motoring groups are rumouring they already are!!! :finga: :finga: :finga: :finga: :finga: :faaaarrk: n :fantastic:
