I don't know how to set up a topic separately for one of our own but here goes, help from the website managers please.

Received a phone call yesterday from Chippie Doug Green that John (JC) Craig chippie from 18th MOBI intake had passed away yesterday morning from kidney failure after collapsing on Thursday. John's sister is in attendance and will advise when his funeral will be which I will post on here.

John has been in poor health for quite some time now, but despite that he is still too young to leave his family and mates.

Vale John, a good mate gone too soon.

Ah Norm ...that is sad. RIP JC. Fold up the chippies rule, your duty is done. Fair seas, following winds and a safe harbour.

I knew JC was ill, and had been for quite some time, but it still comes as a shock to hear of his passing. Vale JC, may you have fair winds and a following sea.

Sad to hear of fellow term mate JC's passing. It was great catching up with him again at the Southport RSL in 2008. Obviously taken far to early.

RIP old friend.

I remember JC from Nirimba days. Tall and a likeable guy. Any one is tall when compared to me.
It is sad that he has crossed the bar. Like everyone else I'd also agree that he gone way too soon
RIP JC your duty is done.
