Was there a mythical mega-city called 'Warrang' established before Sydney was built..? Are our kids and grandkids clamouring to know that Hobart is really 'nipaluna'..? Was 'Gumuy' already there when SeeJay moved to Cairns..??? Is there some benefit in today's kids learning a second (dead) language when most of them haven't mastered the first..? BREAKING NEWS: THE 'NO' VOTE WON...!!! BUILD A BRIDGE... GET OVER IT...!!! Are those the correct spellings? (Considering there is no written language).

Good point, Brian, and if I was from Hobart, I'd be pretty miffed that 'nipaluna' didn't even rate a capital letter...!!!

No written language, no grammar laws. Maybe they are all supposed to be lower case?

Interesting that the invented name for Cairns is Gimuy, pronounced Gimme! Obviously refers to the Gimme-Gimme tribe that has now morphed into the 'Break-in-and-thieve-it!' tribe around here.

Previously been named after the shire or town eg . Lang Lang or Shepparton so you would have a clear idea from whence they came but now we have no idea as does the state government.
