Yep, I also had a soft spot for The Duke. Loved his wicked sense of humour.

RIP Philip, may you have have fair winds and following seas.

And I also, great, wicked sense of humour and a devoted sense of loyalty. Shame he didn't quite make his ton, would have been a great shin dig.
Vale Philip, fair winds and following seas.

My Father-in-Law was in the RN and served as a LS Flag Waver. He served with Prince Philip at sea in either HMS KG V or HMS Kempenfeldt,I cannot remember which one.

Anyway he was hanging around the Bridge when Prince Philip was OOW and was asked what was he up to.Eventually Prince Philip told him to " :pharque: off my Bridge" :uk:

RIP Prince Philip

 Not only his sense of humour, but low tolerance to fools, and given his many so-called 'gaffs', :oopssign: I suspect he held similar thoughts on 'political  correctness' :snap: as the rest of us do... :yess:

Have to agree to all the above. He would have been an awesome addition to the Rocks Run, a real Man's Man.

Vale, Phil. You were - and are - an inspiration to the people that count in this world. :faaaarrk: :kenoath:
