Listed in the latest Last Post section of the NSW RSL Reveille magazine. As a result I have checked DVA Nominal Roll and Skilled Hands for further details.

Roger Wingfield ROACH R42565

12th Intake (Jan 62)

His Vietnam Service consisted of an escort trip to Vung Tau in HMAS Derwent (69) as an SAP.

I have no further details. Another loss to our MOBI family.

RIP Roger :salute1:

I remember 'Cocky' well, he was a term above Chippy Ned and myself and I'm pretty sure I recall standing terrified as he, along with a few other 'beserker' 12th Termers took sadistic
delight in up-ending all the bunks and lockers in our hut when we were Sprogs...! VALE 'Cocky', rest on your oars, your journey's done... Another MOBI taken too young... [-( R.I.P. [-o<
