Sadly I advise the passing of another young MOBI.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.

Further details will be forwarded when received.

Bob Mummery

Hello Bob

Could you please pass on to your contacts.

This sad news has been posted on several RAN sites. Ex CPOMTP Hartmut Steffen from 29th intake July 70 has crossed the bar in Rockhampton Hospital from a severe stroke on Boxing Day evening. Rest in Peace mate. I'm still trying to make contact with anyone who may have further info.

Peter Jaques

I never had the pleasure of ever meeting Hartmut, but still sad to hear of the loss of another young MOBI. Condolences to his family and shipmates. - BC

RIP Hartmut :salute1:

I never served with Hartmut but I can recall him being at the ME school with his "namesake" KH Stephan. Condolences to his family.
Sad to see another go so young. :tear:
RIP Hartmut, fair winds and following seas.
