Robert,
I do not wish to be the proverbial pain in the left nut, nor do I desire to rub one of your raw nerves, but it appears you have copied the above from some report, publication or similar, the content of which most of us are aware of. Thanks however for filling some of the knowledge gaps. Consequently, I have a couple of questions:
- What is meant by the acronym "MODS"?
- Where may one find the missing hyperlinks "HERE" you refer to within your aforementioned writings?

It was copied from another forum, & related to a discussion there, I have deleted it for here. The link didn't translate across, but can be picked up on this site:
http://www.standto.org
I wanted to grab peoples attention, looks like I did, all I ask is for people to check the site out, if you haven't already, and tread your own path.

NOTICE TO RAN SKILLED HANDS MEMBERS ON MILITARY SUPERANNUATION ISSUES
As all of us are aware, a number of E S Organisations have taken up the important issue of the Indexation of Military Superannuation,
the most organised, pro-active and effective of which is undoubtedly the Alliance of Defence Service Organisations (ADSO) with
their Stand To website and their ongoing 'Fair Go Campaign'.
They have posted literally hundreds of pages of submissions, comments, newsletters, updates on their website, on topics such as
‘Military Superannuation’, ‘Disability Pensions’, ‘Military Compensation’, ‘ADF Conditions of Service’ and ‘Health Issues’, along
with at least 28 ‘Fair Go’ videos and numerous audio links...
To keep abreast of these important issues as they develop, I strongly urge all those affected to JOIN THE ADSO/ STAND TO WEBSITE AS MEMBERS so that newsletters and update alerts can be directly e-mailed to each of you as soon as they happen. (As the acknowledged ‘experts’ in their field, they’ll provide you with far more accurate and up-to-date information than we can ever hope to...)
In a genuine effort to keep our Members informed about the important issues of Military Superannuation, we have (unwittingly and with the best of intentions,) allowed for an ‘information overload’ in a plethora of separate and individual topics.
In the “Health and Veterans Affairs Issues” Forum, we have been carrying no less than FIVE topics where Military Superannuation issues
are raised, i.e., ‘Press Releases on Veterans' Issues...’, ‘T&PI/Service Pension, etc...’, ‘DFRDB - a recent submission on commutation...’,
‘DFWA Notices, Letters, Updates, Info, etc...’ and ‘Veterans' Affairs, Advice and Information...’, not to mention this recently created topic
in the main ‘General Discussion’ forum under the (Announcement-tagged) ‘Superannuation Information...’ topic.
Many of the submissions into those topics are duplications, no doubt due to well-intentioned Members receiving pertinent e-mails on Military
Superannuation and then posting the information into one (or more,) of the SIX current Military Superannuation related topics...
Moving forward, (and in an effort to avoid the complete duplication of the ‘Stand To’ forum* being posted on RAN Skilled Hands,) if an appropriate
issue is brought to your attention, or you ‘discover’ something on Military Superannuation that you feel should be drawn to the attention of our
Members, the by all means post few lines with a (working) URL/ LINK to the source, in this SINGLE topic of ‘Superannuation Information...’
and then Members can post comments on the information into the topic if they wish to do so...
This particular topic will eventually be consolidated, re-named ‘Military Superannuation Indexation and Issues...’ and moved in its entirety into
the more appropriate “Health and Veterans Affairs Issues” Forum as a single, stand-alone topic, where it belongs, and duplications of topics and/
or posts reduced to just ONE topic...
Footnote: Over recent weeks, Ned and I have been busy upgrading our forum/website to the latest phpBB software and are also in the process of
migrating the whole website to a new ISP. This has involved the rationalisation of bandwidth to an affordable size which has also necessitated
the deletion of some 2,250-odd photos in our photo gallery (which were no longer relevant in deleted topics.)
With this in mind, I'm sure you'll all agree that consolidating to just ONE relevant topic for ‘Military Superannuation Indexation and Issues...’
makes sense...
NOTE: THIS IS THE CORRECT TOPIC FOR ISSUES OF MILITARY SUPERANNUATION...
* Don't believe me...? Just scroll up to the posts above this one...!!!

Thank you, it certainly does. Good to see we are all on the same page. I commend you for this action, and promise to stop bombarding the forum with bits & pieces, it makes standing in the rain holding a placard outside Wayne Swans office seem worthwhile. Now I can concentrate on the important stuff, the Rugby.

Whatever else, Bob, don't take it personnally, you'll get the hang of it soon enough and we do like to laugh at/with the newbies.
