They forget:
The Romans introduced winemaking to England, in a period with a relatively warm climate. Their vineyards were as far north as Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire, with others in Buckinghamshire and Cambridgeshire, and probably many other sites.
When did grapes grow in England?
Ancient tax records show the Britons grew their own wine grapes in the 11th century, during the Medieval Warming, and then it got too cold during the Little Ice Age. It isn't yet warm enough for wine grapes in today's Britain.

Solar panels for 15 years, driving an EV for 10 years (supporting the drive to renewable) and he has the temerity to question how the entire nation will have limitless power to run all current technology, plus full time air conditioning and charge two electric cars by 2030.....
