Oh you're no fun Tricky.....
They might have banned just about everything in the modern Navy, but surely they haven't banned taking the piss and having a chuckle or two........yet???

Well, what can I say... The Hippy Chippy is about to get in some sea-time... Yes Folks, on Monday, May 17th, Tricky will be embarking on a leisurely cruise aboard 'The Fighting 41' state-of-the-art AWD/DDG HMAS BRISBANE III departing Newcastle 1000 and cruisin' down to Sydney FBE, with other lucky participants in the second Steel Cat's Family Day Cruise...

This is totally unfair. In this age of diversity and fairness, there should have been a survey in order to select the best candidate or at least a lottery.
But then, he will probably be wearing his lilac flares to represent a number of diverse groups!
Well done Rick, I'm sure you will enjoy the sea time.

Thanks, BC, I know I will... ...although as soon as someone mentions 'sea time' for this particular Chippy, I immediately think I'm being drafted back to'TARANGAU'..!!!
I'm crossing all my fingers and toes that Gladys Brylcream's(now)extendedrestrictions doesn't put a spanner in the works, particularly with the bus that the Navy organised for departure for Newcastle from G.I. at 0700 next Monday for the participating 'families' of crew members living in Sydney...Finger crossed...

To set the record straight, BC, the flares are purple pin-striped... ...the shirt's lilac...!
