Hi team,
It seems my old running oppo from Creswell, the notorious CJ, is willing to fly down from Cairns on 6th March, just to see us.
This date will be plenty of notice and a great opportunity for a heap of us to finally meet, or catch up again.
I suggest we find a venue that we can eat, drink and be merry, so people can come and go as they please.
If we get the number of starters I expect, we will need a pretty big room.
Looking forward to your thoughts and ideas.

Woohoo, I'm in. I've missed enough smokeys in the past couple of months. I'm locked and loaded.

Well, my tickets are booked and paid for, so I'm locked in to the 6th March.
Will arrive late Thurs, depart Sunday. Might even be able to muster a run on me own for Friday nite, and see what sort of shit I can get meself into..
What's the Cross look like these days? Still a dingy mongrel of a place?
Ned, why don't you throw a legrope on the Shep and drag him along with you?
Cheers
CJ

Okay, I've contacted Shep down in JB, and he's a confirmed starter.
I'm assuming a 'venue committee' was formed from the pack of Inaugural Run deviates and that some suggestions will now be forthcoming.
I'd like to suggest that we keep the run over on the city side of town, as the cross area will be substantially overrun with all sorts of beanies, meanies and (I resisted the urge to add greenies to the list) and weirdos.
Haven't seen the inside of Sydney pubs since the late 70's. I imagine things have changed somewhat. I've even heard they don't bolt the tables to the floor any more, even in the 'interesting pubs. Fancy that!
Cheers

You gonna make the brews on the run Bobcat?
Only joking, it'll be good to see you there. Hope the legs will be okay by then?
Cheers
