HOCKEY ACT 14th April 2023
In January this year, the Hockey ACT community was saddened to hear that much loved Life Member, Joe Henstock had passed away.
Hockey ACT have made the decision that Joe’s contribution to Hockey ACT should be permanently recognised. After consultation with
the Henstock family, the decision has been made to rename the Clubhouse at Tuggeranong, “The Henstock Pavilion”.
The site was selected as it is a gathering point where our community come together and this reflects Joe’s personality, a person who
welcomed people and brought them together through a shared passion for hockey. The site is also significant as Joe was an enormous
contributor to Tuggeranong Vikings Hockey Club and the family agreed that this is a site Joe would best like to be remembered.
An official ceremony will take place at Tuggeranong Hockey Park from 11:00am on Saturday May 13, 2023 to coincide with TVHC club day.
In honour of the occasion, the whole round over that weekend will be known as the Joe Henstock Memorial Round.
We welcome all those who would like to attend on the day to honour Joe for his contribution to the association.
