Just finished watching Col's funeral service. He certainly had a long and distinguished career serving his nation in three organisations dedicated to the protection of the country and the people, and was obviously loved and respected by many. A real people's person and he crammed what he could into life. The world is a poorer place with his passing.
I enjoyed the service, but must admit I was disappointed with the emphasis on religion...it sounded almost like a church recruiting service with the remembrance and celebration of Col's life as an afterthought...
