It is with regret that the HMAS BRISBANE Association advises of the passing
of a shipmate.
R42287 ERA Robert Edgar "Sixpack" Sanders, Age 63, on Sunday, 2nd July, at
Hollywood Hospital in Perth WA, from Asbestos related illnesses and throat
cancer.
"Sixpac" Sanders was part of the Commissioning Crew of BRISBANE, and served
on BRISBANE during the 1969 deployment to Vietnam. He saw service on
SYDNEY in Vietnam in 1965/66.
May you always have blue skies and gentle breezes fellow matelot, wherever
you may roam.
