More sad news I am afraid as another MOBI, and Submariner, crosses the bar.

Jim was a year behind me at NIRIMBA and stood out as a good and capable guy.

Bob the attached message and photo has been posted on Facebook by Lindsay Peck, ex CPOETSSM of the January 67 MOBI Intake.

Jim was CSAW on Otway when I joined her in refit in January 1991, he was a member of the July 1961 Intake.

It’s with a very sad heart I am letting you know of the passing of exCSAWSM Jim McCarthy.
Jim passed away last Saturday 23rd June after a long battle with cancer.
A true gentleman. Condolences to his family.
Funeral arrangements still unknown at this stage.
