I met up with Jack several years ago at the Bombala antique engine Rally. We spoke about the sailing adventures we had at the mid term sailing camp and the fun and troubles we got into.
RIP mate.

Served with Jak on Stalwart and Waterhen. As Viv said Jak loved tinkering with lathes making bits for his beloved Datsun. On Stalwart he had asked Nick Rose to turn a particular shaft, again for his Datsun, went to check on Nicks progress, pulled out his trusty three foot rule laid it over the shaft and with due consideration announced another 4 thou to go then left. A somewhat amused Nick check the diameter with his vernier and yeap 4 thou to go, to say Nick was gobsmacked would an understatement.

Vale Jak RIP my old friend.
