I received this email earlier today from Sig Bruhn, a mate of Keith's who was in the same entry.

Hello All,

Plummo's wife Donna has just called to tell me the sad news of his passing yesterday evening. It is with heavy heart that I forward this news on to you. Keith has battled his cancer for six years always with great courage, never letting go of hope or his sense of humour. Some of you would have seen these qualities in him during his recent trip to West Australia, which he enjoyed immensely.

Keith and I joined NIRIMBA from the Newcastle area in Jan 65 and were fortunate to never have lost touch throughout our respective naval and civilian careers, both coming back to the area when our time in uniform was over. We spent many a Saturday afternoon over a beer or three, recounting our NIRIMBA misadventures and our monthly trips home to Newcastle in the little blue beetle - the stories getting better with each telling.

A funeral service will be held at Beresfield Memorial Park, North Chapel at 10:00 am on Friday 29 December 2006. ( Anderson Drive Beresfield - about halfway between Maitland and Newcastle NSW.

Keith is survived by his wife Donna and sons Jason, Adam and Brett and a loving extended family, including 3 grandchildren (with 2 on the way I think). Condolences may be sent to:

Mrs Donna Plumridge

29 Crawford Avenue

TENAMBIT

NSW 2323.

RIP Plummo.

Regards,

Sig Bruhn
