I received this email this morning regarding H.R.N Stevenson. A member of the 22nd Intake.

To Brian Carney,

I sent out a few letters by snail mail where that was the only contact method I had.

I received a response from Norm Stevensons wife Linda informing that Norm had crossed the bar 25th January 2010. Aparently he had been wrestling a brain tumor (including 5 surgery) since 1989.

Norm started as JR in January 66 and paid off from RAAF July 87.

I phoned Linda offering respects from all and an invite to the reunion.

Cheers,

No Rick,

He passed away in January, it's a bit late for funeral details!

Another brother lost far too early in life. Rest your oars, Norm.

=; I was thinking more along the lines of WHO and WHAT Norm was BC, Chippy, Tiffy, Greenie, etc., for those of us who didn't get to know him personally... :-k

All I know was that he was a Birdie. I will see if I can find out a bit more info.

Just a follow-up. I sent out an email to former term mates who were AAA's with Norm.

After nearly two weeks, I only had one response which was "I had no contact with Norm after passing out of Nirimba".

At some stage Norm had changed over to the RAAF where he paid-off in 1987.

An old thread I know. In 1981 I worked for/with Norm at ASUCO (air stores useage control office). He was a great boss and extremely religous. He once told me he gave all his income to the church who doled out his family needs. I remember one conversation with him about the european union being foretold.

RIP Norm
