I have just received the sad notification, from his fellow 1st Intake MOBI, that a Pioneer MOBI has passed on...

This morning I received an email from the wife of John Carlin to say that he had passed away during the night.

John was in the first intake of MOBIs to join in July 1956.

As far as I know he was also the last of our intake to leave the service .I think around 1995 or 1996.

John paid off as a Commander.

Sad to see another MOBI has left us. John had been sick for some time, hopefully he is now at peace.

Good Morning Everyone

Sad news from our family.

John passed away peacefully last night after a long battle with dementia (Lewy Body Disease) and Parkinsons .

I will stay in touch with further details but I thought his good mates should know as soon as possible.

I don’t have Brian Swan’s email for some reason so perhaps he could be included in the loop.
