I received this tonight from Peter Maher of the Pussers Greenies Website... Rick, Last "Reville" recorded the passing of R43305 Warren. R. Joseph. He is listed on our Greenies site as a CEWE, but more likely CSAW. His address is listed as Kiulap, Brunai, appears to have paid off in May, 1984, but must have been working for Defence, as his e-mail address was a @defence.gov.au. one... I expect I'll get a date of his passing in the next few weeks. Peter If anyone has any further information, please feel free to add to this topic... Vale Warren, another brother taken too soon... |

Hi, I knew Warren when I was working at FMP(W) in the mid 1970s. I believe that he paid off when I was on Stuart during her half life conversion. At that time he was working in the weapons workshop at Williamstown Dockyard. He lived in Williamstown and had a great interest in horses: trotters or pacers not sure which. I'm pretty sure Warren was on one of the Rocks runs about 3 or 4 years ago. I remember talking to him about living in a small village in Brunei....and was intending to get in touch with him some time after the event....never did.... ...another reminder to not put off those reunions, meetings or correspondence. How quickly things can change, and we miss an opportunity to enrich our lives or the lives of others in some way....and add another regret to our list... Rest in Peace buddy....may you have smooth seas, balmy breezes, and a never-ending Rocks Run replay of catching up with old mates. |

Plenty of old mates up there to catch up with, sadly. Now you point out the Rocks run, Tafmo, didn't we stumble across him in the Frisco? |

Yep, just checked and Warren was at the 2008 Rocks run. We bumped into him at the Frisco Basin Trials on the Friday night. I thought he was a decent bloke. Vale Warren, another of our brothers taken far too soon. |

So sad to hear of Joey's passing, worked with him briefly after pussers in WA and last I heard he was working in Brunei and had a house in eastern suburbs of Perth. He was a great rugby player and played at the top level at some stage. He was a breakaway or lock. Warren and I had many a beer together a long time ago before he went to Brunei where he earnt the big bucks. Harvey Dennison may be able to shed more light, I will contact him on IM. Vale Joey me old mate |
