Fr Kevin Ryan who many of you would have been associated with at Nirimba, Cerberus, and the Fleet throughout the late sixties and early seventies passed away last weekend. His requiem service was held at St Marys in Warwick last Thursday, where he was ordained on 29 June 1960.

He was a great bloke in so many respects and will be fondly remembered by many shipmates and their families.

In true fashion 76 year old Fr Kev was working till the end; as Chaplain to three QLD prisons, and also assisting with the Darra Jindalee parishes.

We were lucky enough to have Fr Kev as our guest speaker at the Naval Association QLD Section, Nirimba Sub Section Christmas dinner last year where he provided insight into the lot of prisoners. A true gentleman who walked the walk.
