Sad News As reported in today's West Australian It is with sad heart that I report the passing of Warrant Officer Naval Shipwright Allen Byrne His funeral will be at Karrakatta Cemetery 1000 on the 12/02/16 I served with Allen on HMAS Stalwart and HMAS Stirling he was a stake holder at Stirling being there before its commissioning Yours Aye Viv |

In my previous post I said that Allen was a top Guy, actually Allen was one of the best. I worked with Allen, for Allen and Allen became my most stalwart supporter, I believe we achieved much because we put aside rank and just got on and did what was necessary. A very good man, bless him. |
