Hi Bob,
Just letting you know that Howie passed way last Tuesday,16th January.
His funeral will be at Harrison's Chapel, Golden Grove Road, Golden Grove SA on Wednesday, 24 January at 10:30am
As Howie was well known in RAN circles you may like to advise other RAN retirees in WA of his passing.

Howie was a Direct Entry Tradesman into the RAN and became a very well respected Chief Tiff, I am not sure whether he made Warrant or not. He retired to Adelaide and became equally well known and respected in the ex service organisations there. I served with Howie a couple of times and understand just how deeply he will be missed.
