Sadly 'Al' passed away late last month in Melbourne after a prolonged illness. His memorial service will be held on Saturday 6th October in Broken Hill at the 'Potters Funeral Home' at 11:00hrs. Al was a Leeuwin 37th Rhoades Division (1971) intake mate of mine and I suspect quite a few of the guys here would have either served with him and/or heard of him during his time in pussers. A few of his best mates were with him when he crossed the bar into safe haven waters and I know that everyone would share in his loss and condolences to both his Wife 'Min' and his children.
