More sad news to end 2018 on, from Bob Mummery we learnt of the passing of ERA Peter Webb, 4th MOBI Intake (Jan.,'58)...

Whilst our paths didn't cross while serving, I did meet Peter when attending one of the NAVENG Reunions a few years ago, held in the Vikings Club in Canberra, where Peter was the Manager...

Very sad news, I served with 'spider' at Creswell in the early 70's. I remember champagne breakfasts at his house which were heaps of fun.

I also caught up with him at a couple of NAVENG Reunions quite a few years ago.

He was a great bloke and will be sadly missed. Fair winds old mate.

Spider did his Vietnam service between 65 and 72 in HMA Ships, Melbourne, Vendetta, Yarra and Sydney.

It was in 72 where I first met Spider. He was posted onboard the "Ferry" as one of the MEO's. Later I would see him when every I attended the NavEng reunions in Canberra.
