Sad news, we have lost another member of our MOBI family.

Wayne William Black R43361, 22nd Intake (Jan 67) ERAD.

Dick Roebuck spotted some traffic via FaceBook, and found messages from Sooty’s family, that he had passed away.

Dick confirmed with Wayne's son Stephen, that he died sometime in the past week, whilst in Cairns on holiday.

We know Sooty had some underlying health issues, but it appears his passing was sudden.

Funeral details will be passed on as soon as they become available.

RIP Sooty, your watch is done. :salute1:

RIP Sooty. Glad I had the chance for a few long talks at our reunions. Mr 110% for Trade Practical. Famous among his mates and a legend to those who saw his work and marks in the display case at Nirimba. Rest on your lathe mate. :tear:

For those who wish to watch Sootie's Memorial Service, it will be live-streamed at noon Tuesday 10th November 2020.

To watch the service, log on to the Muswellbrook and Scone Funeral Services Facebook page just before noon.

When you go to the Facebook page, just scroll down to see Sooty’s listing.

After speaking to Sooty’s daughter-in-law yesterday, Sooty had been feeling pretty good when he went to Cairns to celebrate his 70th with his son.

Sadly he had a brain aneurysm, which took him pretty quickly, just a few days prior to his 70th.

On the 10th, Chook Howell, Eddie Thomson, Mick Lynch & myself, will be joining Muswellbrook RSL Sub-branch as part of their Poppy Service.

I will be passing on sympathies and condolences from all our MOBI family and that they are in our thoughts.
