Colin Byles has contacted me to say that Jim Shaw lost his battle with cancer early yesterday (Thurs 7th). Colin’s sister passed on the news, as she is a very good friend of Jim’s.

Many of you Greenies might know Jim during your careers.

He was as member of the 24th Intake (Jan 68), and he was an SAW.

His Vietnam Service included an escort trip in HMAS Swan to Vung Tau in 1971.

No further details are available at this stage. Sad to have another young MOBI cross the bar.
