Our MOBI cohort continues to dwindle. Please see advise below from Len Mumme and Ron Keeley.

Hi Bob,
Another mobi ‘crossing the bar’.
Regards, Len
Hi everyone,
Heard today that Kenn Payne (14th intake) died in his sleep last Tuesday. He was in a Gold Coast hospital awaiting treatment for a heart condition, but didn't make it. Kenn was a term ahead but many of us got to know him well on the bus rides to and from North Sydney Tech.
Kenn and his wife Renee have been my friends for nearly 60 years. We didn't see each other much after Chrissie and I moved to the UK in 1980, but whenever we went back to Aus or they came to Europe we always managed to hook up and catch up with the news.
When I got out of the RAN in 1970 -- still a naive 24 year-old -- they looked after me, for which I've always been grateful. I was supposed to be best man at their wedding, but I couldn't get leave so I jumped ship from Harman... only the Crushers picked me up on the morning of the wedding. They'd never let me forget that!
Renee tells me there will be no funeral service, but a memorial gathering sometime in the future.
If anyone's in touch with someone from the 14th intake, please would you pass on the news.
Regards,
Ron Keeley
