Notice arrived last week that Hans Boonstoppel passed away suddenly last week.

Sadly another member of our 23rd intake has crossed the bar.

Sad news to the passing of a young MOBI. I remember Hans from Nirimba, but never served with him in the fleet.

My condolences to his family, friends and of course his shipmates.

His Vietnam service consisted of 2 x Escort Trips in HMAS Swan in 1971.

RIP Hans, your watch is done.
