I never served with Jeffrey, but I think someone has possibly made an error about Jeffery Black being a Chippy! When checking his Service Records and Vietnam Nominal Roll, they both show Jeffrey was an ERA.

I have attached copies below of those records. Maybe a shipmate or term mate could confirm his rate?

Always sad to learn of another MOBI has crossed the bar and as his o/n is only 105 after mine, obviously our time at RANATE overlapped, in fact Bob Mummery's MOBI Master List has 'Black JT' as
a member of the 15th MOBI Intake of July '63, but Jeffrey clearly must have behaved himself as an Apprentice, because doesn't stand out to me and our paths didn't cross out in The Fleet..

So rest on your oars, Jeffrey, your journey is done... VALE, Rest in Peace...
