Another sad day for MOBILAND. David Charles Highnam - R42544, passed away in the John Hunter Hospital, New Lambton Heights, NSW from a ruptured or split aorta.

David was an extremely popular MOBI who served 13 'voyages' in the Vung Tau Ferry.

The family have advised that David's funeral will be a private cremation followed by a scattering of his ashes at his favourite beach.

Never served with Dave other than at "Bonehead College" but I remember him as one life's gentlemen while we were there.

I had a fair bit to do with Dave at Nirimba as he was the term ahead of me. Nice guy and sad to see another of our band of brothers cross the bar.

:-k I remember Dave a a quiet unassuming gentleman, just one term above Chippy Ned and myself... Clearly popular amongst those who knew him well and will miss him dearly...
