Frank (Doc) Marshall 6th Intake January 1959 crossed the bar on Tuesday the 24thJune.
Doc was a Chippy who rose to the rank of CMDR. I served with him at Creswell and my first wife Helen and I had lots of great times with his wife Pixie and Doc.
Condolences to Pixie and the family. Funeral arrangements to follow.
RIP buddy.

Frank was a Senior Apprentice (8th Term) when Ned and I joined in July '62, but I never crossed paths with him out in The Fleet.

The following was forwarded to me from Ned to post...

So sad to hear, Frank was Chief Chippy on "Hobart" when we did the six month deployment to the US in '72, a top bloke, softly spoken but very knowledgeable.
Commiserations to Pixie.

Very sad to hear!
I had the privilege of serving with Frank at GMGID during my time as a PJP, and he was one of nature's gentlemen, always calm, and quietly spoken with a great sense of humour and an infectious laugh. Always willing to share his knowledge and companionship with all. Fond memories.
Condolences to his family and friends, I am sure he will be missed greatly.
Vale Frank, RIP and may you have fair winds and following seas. It was a pleasure to have known and served with you.
