Climate change is the bogey man of the 2000's. Bushfires , hot days , cold days , natural disasters and extinction of many species is all blamed on climate change which if we are to believe the politicians they can control. Yes the climate is changing but it is beyond we mere mortals. I cannot believe that we as a race are falling for this B.S. and in closing the bushfires raging in Victoria at present are negating any decreases in carbon.

Mother Nature is going to continue doing her thing, no matter what the Climate Change mob want done. She has been having a bit of a tantrum in recent years with tectonic plates moving, earthquakes and volcanos erupting. All these activities will cause changes to weather patterns, but, according the CC mob, it's all our fault!

As a former bush fire fighter, it always erks me when climate change is attributed to any bush fire (somehow climate change now starts bush fires).

When I used to teach new firefighters we spoke of the fire triangle (heat, oxygen, fuel). You need all three to have a fire, remove one and no more fire (yes there is the fire tetrahedron - chemical chain reaction involving the other three listed).

The one standard is that you have to have a heat source to start a fire (lightning strikes, arcing powerlines, farm machinery, humans with matches or lighters). Humans with matches or lighters remains a biggy. All of the potential ignition sources have nothing to do with climate change.

Very informative and concerning in the destruction, loss of farm land, forests and wild life habitats.
Another major concern is the failure of all this to address the erosion of the power system's base-load, which is what actually keeps the lights on. Battery banks will not be able to do this, nuclear power generation will while also maintaining affordable energy costs.
What is being done now by Bowen & Co will end up destroying this country for many generations to come. :angry10: :angry10: :angry10: :angry10:
