At the end of WWII my Dads squadron Officers lines were attacked by Japanese soldiers (the day after the Japanese surrender). There were no deaths but a number of "minor" injuries sustained by a number of the officers (including my Dads pilot). A group of Gurkhas were sent out to "apprehend/capture" those involved. Dad said that the the Gurkhas returned without prisoners (it would be presumed by the conversation that they had encountered those involved). Technically a war crime, because Japan had surrendered (and it could be presumed that they were not to know of the formal surrender), but........................

I didn't watch the whole parade, but I thought the 250th US Army parade was a pretty unimpressive display. By all means, have some units in "working rig" but most should have been in Dress Uniforms.

And just how many could not keep in step.

China, Russia and of course the Brits, make sure your troops are displayed at their best on such events!

Agree BC, the yanks were just out for a casual stroll.

The Yanks haven't been able to march for shit for ages, when I was training in the states at Great Mistakes (Lakes) Naval Training Centre, watching them on parade, had me thing that Cerberus trainiee's (as well as JR's) could do better after a week.
