I see that another of the Armidale Class Patrol Boats pays off this week. (Page 10 below.) Labor seems to be succeeding in reducing the navy's fleet in a rapid manner. .....again........

You have that all wrong Seejay ( ), the Government is building a navy as large as it had in WWII, Korean War, Malaya Confrontation, Vietnam War, Timor Leste, Iraq War, Iraq War, Afghanistan War (ask them - cross out what does not apply). The Arafura replacement patrol boats are rolling off the production line and into service whilst the heavily armed Cape Class are overshadowing the lightly armed Armidale Class ( ). I did note on page 7, that our clearance divers are working with their counterparts from Sri Lanka. Way back there was a request for a more rigorous disinfectant to be found and sourced that allowed for working with personnel from other countries with, possibly, the chance of more exotic diseases. Taa Daa, Virkon S disinfectant - recommended by the dive boffins, trialed and bought into service by me (with just the occasional errant old fart diver suggesting it was not needed).
