For the sake of the poor people of Sydney I suppose I'll have to stay the extra day to keep a baleful eye on you lot.

Trip to Manly on the ferry on Sunday sounds good. We might join you for that.
Just a small point, Rick, re the photos you have posted of the yacht launching, I think the second one is of the Mobi being lifted out of the water prior to going back to Nirimba for a refit. That was in early '67 I believe.

I'm certainly with Pussa on changing the start venue. That shitfight at Jacksons was once too many, and they've been going downhill for a while. Given that it's a Saturday, surely there's something open around the Quay - or even the Rocks?

I agree, and perhaps someone (a Sydney-sider) could visit the Quay on a Saturday morning (or even a weekday) and check out those venues close to The Rocks, who are open from around 9:30 - 10:00AM Saturdays with a breakfast menu... (and maybe, for those seeking a hair of the a liquor licence...) Bear in mind, that whilst discussions with the Cook at Jackson's on George arrived at the point that if we required them to open early for, say, 20 egg 'n' bacon rolls, then with notice, they would, nevertheless, said egg 'n' bacon rolls were absolute so a change of venue is fine with me...

Yes. Shep, Pussa and I walked past it on the Sunday after the last Rocks Run and recalled a few memories. What was the name of the other pub very near it? The banana bread and ricotta and honey sounds great!!!!

Peter - That could be The Paragon on the corner of Loftus St. and Alfred Street. Had many a beer there when catching ferries to and from Codock.
