I'd be happy to contact the Lord Nelson to reserve some tables in the 'keg room' (off to the left hand side as you front the bar,)
but after 8 previous runs, can anybody definitively put an ETA on when we'd hit the pub..?
Doing a quick head count from last year, (below,) we are running with similar numbers, but as it's not an exact science, I reckon
this time at least, we just do what we've always done... I think we all got served last year without too much hassle, this year
we'll just make a note of the arrival/ ordering time so in future we can make a firm booking...

Rick, I found that last year it was a major hassle, which was why I left there and walked up the hill to the next place. And also why I suggested a change for this year.
No problem, if the same hassle is there this year I'll simply move on to where it's easier.

Rick.......let's book the Keg Room for a specific time....and we'll just have to get there on time. Can't be too difficult. How many pubs between the start and the Keg Room, multiply by (a factor which equates to transiting, ordering and drinking time/beer x number of pubs) and allow a Greenie dawdling and flirting factor...yes Tafmo that's for you......and come up with a time.

O.K., I'll give it a go... Here's a realistic scenario...
Kicking off at Jacksons on George at 11:00AM, if we allow 5 minutes stroll between pubs,
and 25 minutes to drink your chosen poison, the run would look something like this...
Arrive 10:00 AM – Jackson’s on George - Drinks - Breakfast - Depart 11:00 AM
Arrive 11:05 AM – Fortune of War - Drinks - Depart 11:30 AM
Arrive 11:35 AM – The Observer - Drinks - Depart 12:00 NOON
Arrive 12:05 PM – Mercantile Hotel - Drinks - Depart 12:30 PM
Arrive 12:35 PM – Harbour View Hotel – Drinks – Group Photo - Depart 1:00 PM
Arrive 1:05 PM – Hero of Waterloo - Drinks - Depart 1:30 PM
Arrive 1:35 PM – Lord Nelson – Drinks - Lunch - Depart 2:30 PM
Arrive 2:35 PM – Hotel Palisade - Drinks - Depart 3:00 PM
(May still be closed for renovations, phone rang out to a full messagebank which wasn't accepting new messages.)
Arrive 3:05 PM – Captain Cook Hotel - Drinks - Depart 3:30 PM
Arrive 3:35 AM – The Australian - Drinks - Depart 4:00 PM
Arrive 4:05 AM – Glenmore Hotel - Drinks - Depart 4:30 AM
Arrive 4.35 PM – Lowenbrau Keller - Drinks - Depart 5:00 PM
Arrive 5:05 PM – Orient Hotel - Drinks – Dinner - Depart 11:00 PM (?)
If you think about the usual time we arrive at the Orient Hotel, then I think this is pretty acurate...
A couple of notes here...
What I have done is swap the sequence of the Hotel Palisade and the Lord Nelson,
this will put us at the Lord Nelson a respectable half an hour earlier, then if it turns
out that the Hotel Palisade is still closed for renovations, we just finish earlier...
I can then ring the Lord Nelson and book for 20 people for lunch at 1:30PM...
Bearing in mind, we always tend to get somewhat distracted by the Schnapps
and the Frauliens at the Lowengau Keller, but that's of little concern
as by that stage, we're only one drink from the finish line at the Orient Hotel...
How does that sound..?

CJ You might ask if the Mariners Court does cut lunches or even a picnic basket

Cut lunches...picnic basket??????? Must be a joke!!!
Rick.......cripes when you analyse it like that ....it is bloody tight isn't it?
The group photo takes time. How about the group photo after the Lord Nelson.......that will save at least 10 minutes....and we depart the Hero of Waterloo 10 minutes earlier.

It can seem to be a bit tight PW, but as long as we get away from Jackson's on George on time,
and stick fairly close to the schedule, we'll get to the Lord Nelson before they cut the lunches off...
After lunch the pace can be what ever you want it to be, as it's all downhill from there (well just about...!)
As for the Group Photo, we chose The Harbour View Hotel for that very reason, the Harbour Bridge in the background...!
Above all, I don't think we want to 'over-regulate' it, otherwise it will become less spontaneous and more of a chore...!

Rick, due to circumstances way out of my control, my itinerary has had a major overhaul etc etc. Wife is now flying to unzud next week and I will be staying in Hornsby with my sister.
Can I now nominate as a late starter for the "crawl" on saturday?
