Ned and I, having both partaken of the cruise offerings of both the Pacific Sky and the Pacific Sun, discovered that on both occasions, the cruise docks at No. 8 Wharf Darling Harbour VERY early in the morning, (like, 7:30am) dropping you 500 metres from the Rocks, leaving you plenty of time to check into a (Rocks area) motel and still meet us by 11:00am...!
You're IN Dude...!
Just tell the lovely Rhonda that Rick's ribs have completely healed and he's
looking forward to being able to give her a big hug, that should clinch it...!

Rick,
That sounded perfect.......except for one minor problem......the cruise is all booked out, as is the new Pacific Dawn in November etc. The only cruise left in the window I have available for travel (late Oct/early Nov) is the Pacific Star, departing from Brisbane on 3 November...
Now I know this will break poor Ned's heart , but as good as I am I can't be in two places at once, and unfortunately the cruise wins #1 place for Rhonda.......only marginally of course........but not having been on a cruise before, it has a lot of appeal.
I'll have to console myself with copious amounts of piss on board, but I'm sure I'll manage to survive. I'm worried about you reprobates being without my couth and culture, but you'll just have to try to keep out of jail by yourselves.
Really sorry I can't make this one, would love to have been there. I'll just have to work on the next one.

Sadly, that takes care of Tafmo, but with just 3 weeks and 3 days to go 'til the
5th RAN Skilled Hands Annual Sydney Rocks Xmas Pub Crawl Smokey
our current head count for 2007 is as follows....
So far CONFIRMED we've got...
Pussasan
Chippy Ned
SeeJay
Hippy Chippy
Mobes
Henry S
Dinophot
Shep
Col's Surrogate Illigitimate Daughter
Glen and Mrs Friedrich
Jak Cuttle (doing the 'wusses' short course...)
Got this update from Pussasan... (who's forgotten how to post..!)
Ned/Rick, I would suggest that since we haven't heard from them since I sent out an all stations bulletin, that we won't be seeing anything of Tom Davies, Pete Hines or Bruce Hayward. I believe they are all 'out of staters', and on that note, no one is more committed to this great venture than Seejay. Cheers, Pussa
So adjusting our still UNCONFIRMED we've got...
Ummmm... Just Simone (a definite maybe repeat performance)
Appologies: Brian 'Charlie' Staples & Trevor 'Honest Tad' Davies...
I'm happy to join you on Friday Charlie...! You shouting...???
Keep 'em coming Gang, This IS going to be our biggest yet...!
Not ready to give up on the rest of our 'regulars', I'm doing a ring around...
They won't dare decline, 'cos they know wot's the go for them wot sez 'NO'..!
Hmmmmm.... :-k
On second thought, that might just reverse Tafmo's decision...!
Anyway, whilst we're on the subject of old things nautical...!
PLEASE DON'T FORGET THE MOBI YACHT 'NIRIMBA' 41ST BIRTHDAY HEART STARTER BRECKY BBQ, AGM AND OPEN DAY AT RANSA THE FOLLOWING DAY...! WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT...!

Well it certainly looks like we will have a bumper crop of sophisticated ladies and gents for the "Rocks run" this year.
If anyone from out of town is thinking of attending they could look at the Hyde Park Inn for their accommodation. http://www.hydeparkinn.com.au/
They give discounts to sub-branch members and it is right next to Museum station for easy access to Circular Quay. Chris O'Keefe, Steve Shepherd and I will be staying there, so you now have even more incentive to check them out.
See all you reprobates on Saturday.

Ok,
It appears that Ned, Seejay, Shep, myself and Rick are going to be in town on friday night.
What do you propose we do to get Charlie into trouble.
I'm open to suggestions.
Methinks you all have my mobile No. Thinking caps on gents.
Cheers.
Pussa

I don't think it's that Ned's so concerned about the compromising photos Buck...
...it's just that they always seem to 'mysteriously'... get leaked to the press...
