Gents,
I will be in Sydney for two weeks from around the 2nd January. Seems to me that it is a hell of a long way to travel from The Bahamas without putting some faces to names and having a beer or six. Pending approval from she who must be obeyed I would even drag myself out of "The Shire" and across The Captain Cook Bridge into the city.
Anyone interested?
Steve

I was only looking for an excuse to organise our first 'Smokey'...! :D

As Moderator on 'The Gun Plot', I'd helped 'Deskjockey' (a.k.a. 'Tragic' on 'The Plot',) organise the first Sydney get-together of Sydney 'Plotters', then the last tour over 'The Steel Cat' as she sat waiting to be towed off to her final resting place, followed by a tour over the new 'Stuart' and 'Newcastle' (and Glendennings, 'Rockers', 'Harry's...!), then on another outing, a tour of the National Maritime Museum (and of course, Glendennings, 'Rockers', 'Harry's...!)

They're a lot of fun, and its a good time to get somerthing off the ground for RAN Skilled Hands... Any starters...? :D

Wouldn't miss a run for quids.

At this rate I'll probably be away from the 8th to the 10th but any other date is fine.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, could make this one.

My sweet Storm Trooper may let me slink off to Sydney, so I can add a little couth, culture and decorum to the gathering.

Someone needs to take charge and work out a suitable date and venue.

It will be a bit difficult for either Rick or myself, as we will still be putting in plenty of hours, keeping you lot in here, on the straight and narrow.

Cheers

'Twould be great to meet the new and catch up with the old.
I suppose a round wouldn't be out of the question Steve?
Will have to be something of great magnitude to keep me away.
Will watch this space.

I am all for a cold one or two or three. My house is in Gymea, so anywhere between there and the harbour bridge is a good spot for me. I haven't seen OIC home front since October so I have to handle this with a great deal of diplomacy and tact. All being well anytime during the second week of January will be okey dokey. I am open to suggestions for a time/date/place.
Steve

Very happy with Cronulla, its just a 5 minute train trip for me. Might be a bit too far out of the way for some. What about somewhere in the City or the old favourites like Rockers or Bells or Friscos.
I have heard that The Oaks is a nice pub and I am sure that the people that live on that side of the Bridge speak English and are very pleasant. If decided I can venture over one afternoon and see how the other half lives. :D
