mikem wrote: Can't do 3rd or that first weekend in November ongoing due to other long term commitments that are difficult to change without a lot of grief. Can do the 10th this year and on going if everyone is ok with that. I did send you an email on this a few weeks ago Rick.
Tis true, Pony e-mailed me about the date earlier, but with all that was going on at the time I hadn't got back to him... My apologies, Pony...
Hi Rick, This year’s run is scheduled for the weekend of the 2-4 November from my reckoning, however I can’t make that weekend this year and more than likely ongoing years because of long term changes which we had to make last year when I changed a whole lot of dates when I took on the short term consulting role, that I did. Those changes are unfortunately now long term. I can however make the next weekend (10 November) this year and on-going. Just wondering it is possible to change the run to the second weekend in November, which is the weekend I think I originally opted for. Hopefully it doesn’t impact on anyone else and I can attend. Cheers Mike Moore
I'm sorry Pony, but looking back over the past few Rocks Runs confirms that it's been the closest weekend to the 5th of November for some time, including last year...
I think it was changed once because so many of our troops were planning to attend the NAVENG in Canberra, held at the same time, and once because both Webmasters were attending our Intake Reunion, but since then, particularly with the early notice to all, most of our people plan around the 5th... :-k
(Some of the earlier ones were held in December, but the majority of potential attendees told us it was too close to Xmas, so it was brought back to early November...)
For future reference (as well as past,) the planner below should take the guesswork out of it...
We hope that this will help in your longer term planning Pony, and also that you may be able to change your contract to attend this year's bash...

It's not contract stuff Rick, that finished some time ago. It is purely family oriented and I am unable to change it.
So that unfortunately rules me out, but I am sure you will all have a good time.
Que sera sera

That's sad Pony, we've all enjoyed your company over the past few runs, hopefully some
of those forward dates will coincide with your availability over future Rocks Runs...

Maybe we can just send those updates to Ned, for Pony.... ...even if he's there and not playing golf....
