I served with Chris in HMAS Flinders working out of Cairns.

He was a Petty Officer Surveyor and a Cairns native.

A great bloke whose Uncle would take Flinders crew members out fishing off the coast.

RIP Chris

John Denning's funeral will be held next Tuesday 16 September in Harvey south of Perth and ex WOMTPD Derek Hampson will give the eulogy. Funeral notice is in Today's (Friday 12 Sep) West Australian newspaper.

I am sure that all who knew John will know that one of nature's gentlemen has passed over the bar. John was my boss of the FMU on Stalwart in the mid 70s and you could not ask for better.

My sincere condolences to John's family.

Vale John
