"We Gotta Get Out Of This Place" - Vietnam War Veterans' Music Video :salute1:

"This version of the "We Gotta Get Out of This Place" music video was created by Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum as part of its ongoing effort to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War. The men who are featured in the video are all Vietnam Veterans who have helped to build the exhibit. "We Gotta Get Out of This Place" was one of the most requested songs by United States Armed Forces members stationed in South Vietnam during the war.

The music video was filmed in the museum's Vietnam Experience Exhibit. To learn more about the museum and our commemoration efforts please visit our website http://www.patriotspoint.org or visit our facebook page :type: http://www.facebook.com/patriotspoint.org

Thank you to Sony/ATV Music Publishing for allowing us to use the song as performed by The Animals."

:finga: And thanks, GDY :usa: Wayne, for sharing that with us... :yea:

This video was made at place called Patriots Point in Charleston, SC it is a museum of sorts they have a Carrier, Tin Can, Sub and a PBR as shown in video which is PBR 105 (not actual 105) how ever 105 was BM1 Williams PBR in VN and for his action was awarded the MOH, (DDG 95 is for BM1 James E Williams)

In the video the man with Black Stetson is Col Bruce Crandall also a recipient of the MOH for his bravery flying his helo in and out of Hot LZ during battle of la Drang Valley, he was also in company with Ed Freeman at that time frame who was also awarded the MOH for doing same.

One of other men looked like CWO 3 Ralph Fries from the Game wardens , Ralph is Historian of the Game Wardens and most of Riverine forces, didn't get much music out in delta, Guys up North in I Corp said music from Hanoi was better than AFRTS

From memory, the AK47 that was gifted by one of the returning battalions to the wardroom had chinese manufacturer markings. This was the one that a certain chippy named Fred and with a nickname of 'hydraulic' borrowed for a period of time and practised machine-gunning various parts of the Blue Mountains. :omg1: :omg1:

As for all the NVA being volunteers? BULL :shit: !!
