Unfortunately it was either the Rocks Run, or a week in Hong Kong and Singapore, with a 2 week cruise in between bouncing through Vietnam and Thailand.....you lost out by a poofteenth... :omg:

Knowing Fred was coming almost changed things, but when AAMI told me it wasn't a valid reason to cancel the trip and get refunds on our money....can you believe that; not valid... [-(

...had to stick with Plan A. :bugger:

We'll be with you in spirit though....I'll drink extra fast during the evening drinkies session in the hotel's Club lounge and see if I can't get as untidy as Weyling will be by the end of the night...2 hours should be more than enough.... :finga:

Have a great weekend without us, and try not to get Fred locked up or accosted by one of Ned's old cronies..... :cat1:

whoops....I'll be the one avoiding them in Bugis Plaza when I'm in Singas...though most of them are probably in the local cemetery by now.... :laughing8:

One thing to remember when getting your bearings in Singapre, Tafmo. What was once waterfront is now probably about 2 Km inland.......and I have some sad news re the Bugenstrasse......

Yes I've discovered that Bugis St is nothing like its old self, but I'm told if you search high and low, you might just run across a toothless old hag or two who knew Ned intimately... :cat1:

May I say firstly that I apologise for being off topic, however I feel I must answer this scurrilous attempt by Robin, to sully my impeccable reputation. :swear1:

I have enjoyed at least 20 trips to Bugis Street in my lifetime, most in the pre Lee Kuan Yue era when the moral standard of this wonderful location left a little to be desired, however, although I feasted my eyes on some of the delights that were on display, I never stooped to touching any of the merchandise. :angel5:

I can recall though, on numerous occasions, the colourful characters that frequented Bugis Street stopping me and asking if I knew when “Tafmo” would be back. I didn’t know Robin at the time and when I asked the girls and boys why they were so interested in “Tafmo”, they all told me that they loved him because he spent so much money taking them home and loving them. :3some:

I will be visiting Bugis Street to buy some cheap watches on two occasions in September and October this year, (how coincidental that it is just before Robin arrives) so I will keep an eye out for some of those characters and tell them that “Tafmo” is coming and even though he is old, :old1:

may still be able to cum. :love11:
