So sorry to read about this.
Condolences to Kip's family.
Tidy up your lathe and return all tools on loan to the ERUS. Your work is complete. Well done Kip.

Hard to bear, losing two great mates, shown in the photo below taken outside 'Johnnies' just over 4 years ago,
Frank Eastwell (left) and now Kip Dunlop (right) within eight months of each other, both to unrelated forms
of insidious cancer... #-o The 13th MOBI Intake has lost two of it's truly favourite characters... [-o<

Image

The e-mail below was sent to our 13th MOBI Intake 'Band of Brothers' from Jude Eastwell, widow of our recently departed buddy, Frank Eastwell...

:evil3: "To all of Robert’s (Kipper's) family.....and shipmates. Its a sad day when we loose another one from the mighty 13th. Intake, especially so close to our
next reunion in Qld at Doug and Lyn’s place. He will always be remembered for that big smile he used to get on his face, especially if he was up to mischief!
I always loved his sense of humour, as he was at our home a lot in the Nirimba Days, one of many who used to bunk down in my parents caravan.

The last time we saw the both of them, was when they were over visiting their daughter and family, and that’s the last time they saw Frank. We had a lovely
meal in Sydney, and the laughter, well, that’s what happens when long time mates are around. I know that Frank said that when he got to Heaven,
he would establish a mess for all the boys, so that they would know where to all meet. I cried, but it was only that I’d never see or hear his laugh again,
but the pain from cancer is just to hard to watch them suffer with. Paulette, I know what the loss is like, sometimes when a memory comes back, you
might find yourself laughing at one memory , or crying at the next memory, but what I always like to think about, was that how happy I was when I met him,
what a great life we had together, either travelling or just being home, but one thing I can say, he didn’t want to stay here with the intense pain! I wish
I was over there to put my arms around you , and reassure you, that eventually you will meet again, and be together forever! You are lucky that you
have good kids, like we have , Lots of Love to all....

Jude Eastwell xxx - (Widow of Frank Eastwell) - 13th MOBI Intake"

Sad to hear of Kip's passing. A character that everyone at that time at Nirimba remembers.

Condolences to Paulette and family. RIP

Subject: Re: VALE - Engine Room Artificer 1, Robert Dunlop

On behalf of my family I would like to thank all those who sent condolences on the death of my husband Robert Dunlop who passed away
in the early hours of 28 June 2015. It was greatly appreciated and showed how once in the Navy there is no escape for which we give thanks.
Bob Mummery has kindly agreed to forward this email as I don't have everyone's addresses.
We thank you all again for remembering my guy KIPPER.
sincerely
Paulette Dunlop
